Ten Linings

Every frame takes every lining. Pale linings hold the light and keep a silver band from disappearing into shadow. Dark mocha, forest green and black do the opposite — they drop the background out and leave the stone doing all the work. Red and teal are the ones to reach for when the piece itself is plain.

The Counter

Each frame stands on its own easel back, so a case gains height with nothing propped behind it — or take the display off the counter entirely and hang a group on the wall behind it. Run one lining color across five different frames and a mixed wall still reads as one collection.

The Camera

The ribbed channels hold a band or a stud upright and facing the lens, which is the shot a flat pad cannot give you. Gilt relief catches a rim light and throws it back around the ring, so the metal reads warm without a reflector.

The Dressing Table

Rings left in a dish get scratched by each other. Here each one sits in its own channel, visible, so the one you wear daily is not buried under the ones you do not. Hang it beside the mirror and it reads as a picture frame until you get close.

Handmade
The antiqued finish is worked by hand, so no two frames wear in exactly the same places. That variation is the point of the finish, not a fault in it.

Color
Linings are dyed in batches and screens render color differently. Order together if the pieces will sit side by side.

Does it hold earrings as well as rings?

Yes. Stud posts push in between the ribs and seat there the same way a ring band does — firmly enough that they stay put with the frame hung vertically on a wall. Hook wires and small drops rest on the open suede below the channels. The ribs keep a pair aligned instead of letting one slide out of line with the other.

Can I order a single frame?

Yes. Choose one frame and one lining color, and it ships on its own. There is no minimum order and no quotation to wait on.

Is every lining color available on every frame?

Yes. All ten linings can be fitted to all ten frames, so you can run one color across a mixed group or give each frame its own.

Are these Rococo or Baroque?

Both, and the set is drawn that way on purpose. The scrolled asymmetric frames sit in the Rococo line; the heavier symmetric ones with deep relief are Baroque. One of them borrows from Moorish carving instead. Grouped together they read as a collected wall rather than a matched set.

Will the lining scratch plated rings?

No. The channels are soft enough to seat a band without pressure on the shank, which is the part that shows wear first on a plated ring.

Can it hang on a wall?

Yes. Every frame in the set hangs, stands on its easel back, or lies flat in a drawer or a case. The suede channels are cut close enough that both a ring band and a stud post stay seated with the frame vertical, so a wall of them works as storage and as decoration at once.
